The Gala was inaugurated with a speech by the President, Mr. Francisco Gaudier Fargas, and with the delivery of the Gold Medals of the Círculo del Liceo to the winners: - Mr. Salvador Alemany, on behalf of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. - Mr. Carlos Cuatrecasas, former president of the Círculo del Liceo. - Mr. Joan Antón Maragall, former president of the Círculo del Liceo. - Mr. Ignacio García-Nieto, former president of the Círculo del Liceo. We had a recital by soprano Ermonela Jaho and Albert Guinovart on piano, who gave a magnificent interpretation of Tristezza (Tozzi), Io son l'umile ancella (Adriana Lecouvreur, by F. Cilea) and Un bel di vedremo (Madama Butterfly, of G.Pucini). The Gala continued with the screening of the Círculo del Liceo Documentary, a piece made and produced by one of our partners, Oriol Coll with the help of José Enrique Ruiz-Domènec. We concluded the evening with a cocktail-dinner at the Salón dels Miralls and also at our spaces in the Círculo del Liceo.
