Pau Casals is undoubtedly one of the most universal names in 20th century music. A total musician, he was internationally acclaimed for his excellence as a cellist, but also as a great conductor. He developed his activity as a composer and teacher throughout his intense life. Jordi Pardo is general director of the Pau Casals Foundation, cultural manager, archaeologist and historian from the UB, and EMPA, FGAP from ESADE. He is also a member of UNESCO's bank of experts on culture and development and a member of the European Commission for the selection of the Cultural Capitals of Europe. He is president of the "Cercle de Cultura" of Barcelona. |
