The Music Commission of the Círculo del Liceo hosted another session of the Opera and Screen cycle, with the screening of the opera "Cardillac" by Paul Hindemith. The event featured a presentation by Rosa Massagué, journalist.
Shouting "Assassins, assassins. Assassins are among us!" a mob is ready to take the law into their own hands because, indeed, a murderer is on the loose. The criminal also steals the jewelry from his victims.
Paul Hindemith is one of the great composers of the twentieth century and this is a magnificent occasion to enjoy his 'Cardillac', an opera that has never been on stage at the Liceu, but which is regularly performed on the great European stages such as Paris, Vienna or Dresden, or the one in Cologne where it is scheduled in June starring Bo Skovus.
