The Círculo del Liceo hosted the Lunch-Colloquium "Catalonia, again, standing at a crossroads" with the Right Honorable José Montilla Aguilera, former president of the Generalitat and independent director of Enagás.
After the uncertain results of the last elections to the Parlament, the former president of the Generalitat, José Montilla, analyzed the current political moment of Catalonia, and the challenges that, once again, it must face.
José Montilla Aguilera (Córdoba, 1955) has been a member of the PSC since 1978. He has held the positions of councilor of Sant Joan Despí (1979), mayor of Cornellà (1985-2004), president of the Baix Llobregat Regional Council and president of the Barcelona Provincial Council. In 2004 he was a Deputy in Congress, and from 2004 to 2006 he served as Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, a position from which he resigned in November 2006, to present his candidacy for the presidency of the Generalitat, which he achieved between 2006 and 2010. Between 2011 and 2019, he was Senator representing the Parliament of Catalonia and currently serves as an independent director of Enagás.
