The Círculo del Liceo hosted the presentation of the book «Mujeres en primera plana» co-written by various authors and edited by Sergi Doria.
The book is an anthology that aims to be a tribute to the generation of women before the war: some of them, in a good social position, struggled to go to university, in order to avoid the programmed role of " flower vase". And the Republic in 1931 will translate into law what was already normal in Spanish society in the 1920s. The new regime will have a female political vanguard: Victoria Kent, Clara Campoamor, Dolores Rivas Cherif, Belén Sárraga, Dolores Ibárruri, Margarita Nelken ... They are the best known representation, but many others were pioneers in their fields.
Sergi Doria is a Doctor of Communication Sciences from the UAB, professor of Theory and History of Journalism at the UIC and Ramon Llull, cultural chronicler in different press media and at the ABC and author of the biography of Ignacio Agustí and of the novels: No digas que me conoces and La verdad no termina nunca.
