The Círculo del Liceo hosted the presentation of the book «Gregory Kunde, a life to sing it», a biography of the American tenor written by José Luis Jiménez, after that, Gregory Kunde offered a short recital with piano accompaniment.
Gregory Kunde is an American lyric tenor. Specialist in Italian and French bel singing, which has subsequently resulted in dramatic roles. He has performed in theaters as important as the Teatro alla Scala of Milan, the Metropolitan of New York, the Opera of Vienna, the Opera of Paris, the Covent Garden of London or the Opera of Sydney. He is currently in Barcelona, â€‹â€‹playing the role of Prince Calaf in Turandot (from October 7 to 25 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu).
José Luis Jiménez has a degree in Journalism from the Antonio de Nebrija University, he writes for the Opera Actual magazine and is a delegate for the Galicia Edition of ABC.
The book «Gregory Kunde, a life to sing it» contains about two years of documentation and more than forty hours of conversation between the author and the tenor. It also includes a prologue by Antonio Pappano, musical director of the Royal Opera House.
