Arturo Pérez-Reverte is a writer and journalist, he has a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is a member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 2003. Former RTVE correspondent and prominent reporter in various armed conflicts and wars, he is the author, among others, of the saga Las aventuras del capitán Alatriste. «Una historia de España» is a pleasant and personal story, a work conceived by the author to, in his words, «have fun, reread and enjoy; a pretext to look back from ancient times to the present, reflect a little on it and tell it in writing in an unorthodox way. In the book, Pérez-Reverte narrates the main events that have occurred since the origins of Spain’s histor until the end of the Transition with a subjective view. The event also featured the presence of José Enrique Ruiz-Domènech, writer and Professor of History at the UAB. |
